Got my bumper today and mounted it up in about an hour or so. Fit like a glove, excellent quality parts and the swing away tire carrier is very nice.

I will get some more pics later on but just wanted to post this up to show the quality of work Denny does. I recommend his products 100%

are there any additional mounts other than the 2 bolts through the crossmember?

Yea - and the bolts that mount to the cross member bolts to a piece of box that is all attached to the recovery points.

I thought this was pretty slick

Don't be "that guy" that runs around town with bow shackles on his truck.

haha half the time I do leave them on there just because I am too lazy to take them off. The ones on my hitch have been on there for a while - I need a screw driver or pliers to loosen them but keep forgetting to do it

What's wrong with that?

Nothing "wrong" with it but why?

A) Easy to steal
B) Pin rattles out
C) Rust sets pin to "welded-on-like" strength.... I've seen this on countless trucks! We did a training at a 4X4 parts place in Jersey and every Jeep there had enough shackles hanging off them for 20 trucks! Some were painted red, some blue, neon yellow and I saw one set that was pink!
D) Annoying "clanking" sound

The pink is to keep people from stealing them.

LOL, that soooo reflects the geography...
- I don't EVER remember anyone trying to steal a shackle off any of my trucks.
- Pin never, ever rattled out of any of my shackles. And I gave up looking around for a screwdriver to tighten one up - so they are tightened by hand.
- There's not a speck of rust on any of these shackles. For some reason, this zinc coating seems to stay on them forever. Unscrewing the pin may take an occasional whack, that's all.
- Clanking may be true, especially on the bumper. In the hitch receiver, not a problem.

I guess I got so used to these shackles all over the place in my ocean-going years that I don't pay attention to them.

Back to topic - Jake, the bumper looks good. Now I want one, too.
