Has anyone used these for their DII?

I ordered new windshield wipers from AB and they suck! Half of the drivers side wiper doesn't even lay down all the way on the windshield when they are not in use. Seems like the mechanism that creates the curvature of the wiper is not strong enough to keep the end of it down. Anyway I decided to buy (SilBlade 21" Silicone Wiper Blade For Discovery Series II) from EE. Should have consulted you all before I bought them but would still like to know if anyone has them and if they are any good.

I know about the DI arm solution and will do that if these don't pan out but wanted to know if anyone has had success with these because they are competitive price wise at only $36. Thanks

I used them for the DII. I still had the wiper coming off the windshield. I went with the DI arms from Will T. and Sil Blades. Sil Blades only made a winter season in Chicago. I bought the AB wiper blades. Waste of money! I found success with Bosch ICON and adding SUREWIPE springs. The springs are great in the winter w/ ice and snow. It took a couple of weeks to get the springs but they are worth it. Something to consider.

I have sill blades on my D2 and have had for 3 years BUT AB no longer offers them as they say the clip that holds them in was changed and is unreliable They still offer Sillblades for everything else but the D2 and said they could not recommend the NEW D2 ones

I have had silblades on my 04 for about 5 years now, still good! Got them from EE. They don't see much winter weather, only when I am home for a few months of the year, but they have seen a lot of southern sun and heat.

Just ordered a set of Sure Wipe springs on Ebay for $11.00 shipped for the D2. These coupled with the Silblades I just ordered should keep my wind shield clear.
Thanks for the heads up on the Sure Wipes.

Silblades on the way and now Sure Wipe springs (thanks to Windy City) on the way as well. Thanks for the Ebay idea Rovercanus. I am hoping this will be a very good solution for at least a couple of years. Leave it to LR to make wiper blades an issue! :banghead:

Love my IMC brand OP parts wiper blades. No open holes just rubber on a stick. I used D1 wiper arms though.

Will silblades fit the stock D2 arm?

Yes. The ones I bought from EE fit the DII arm.

For $120 EE sells a pair of their Flexi all rubber Silblades on DI arms that fit a DII. But I am sure you can get DI arms from Will T. or elsewhere for less.

Got my Silblades yesterday. The drivers side still doesn't sit on the windshield all the way. But the blades wipe great where they do hit the windshield. Hoping the springs coming in the mail will be the answer. I'll be pissed if I have to end up with DI arms. What a dick move by LR to try and make some money!
