I'm looking for a HD aftermarket replacement for my bent stock track rod.
So far I've got:
RoverTracks $110
RTE $235 (includes Drag Link which I don't really care about)
QT $100
Equipe $146
RockWare $90

Since I have to pick ONE, which would be the best option? Most bang for the buck?

when my OEM went out, I bought the RTE. Cant say that I've ben super-uber-OMG-I'm-elite-offroading on it, but it has held up very well for what i have put it through so far. Where others have dented theirs up mine has held up fine. You get what you pay for. Granted, I bought mine a year ago, but im happy with the result.

Whatever happened to buying a piece of tubing and welding it over the existing pieces?

I have no time for that and no welding skills, not to mention no welder. I could probably take it in to get done but again, that's more messing around than I care to do right now.

I compiled that list primarily from Justin's website, not sure what the stock status is on each item though.

Obviously, any one of them is an improvment over stock. But I've heard the sleaved ones aren't as good as solid ones. True or not, I don't know. That's why I'm looking for feedback on which one to buy. Might as well do it right the first time. (Learned that here the hard way. ;) )

You could build your own... out of some .65ID 1.5OD DOM

Sorry to hijack, but Ben have you done this? How did you tap the threads? Aren't the rover tierod ends some weird thread pitch? Or did you use different TR ends?
