Hello all,

Anybody know the exact location of the solenoid that alows the Rover to be shifted in low range? My transfer case is stuck in high range. I have sprayed PB on the linkage for about a week and it still won't move. It used to move very easily into low range. So I'm thinking its the solenoid.
What part of the center console do I need to remove to get to it? Does it need to be replaced or can I simply unplug it?
This is a 94 RRC LWB.

Thanks

I had to pull the solenoid out of mine. I just removed the center console and drilled out the rivets holding the rubber shift boot to the hole in the floor. Then I you just have to remove two allen head bolts and disconnect an electrical plug. Took an hour or two total including a run to the hardware store for a pop rivet gun and rivets to reinstall. If you search on here, you should find the post I made referencing it.

Good luck!
