Granted it was @1.5yrs ago, but I highly doubt anything has changed in them since them, except the color of the case maybe.

The duty cycle is a magic number for welders and plasma cutters. Compare the HF etc ones to a Miller or Lincoln, and the differences are very apparent.
I have yet to meet any competent weldor (yes that is spelled correctly) that claims a HF welder is "adequate". The gun being hot at all times tells me all I need to know. :thehand:
As already said, better to spend a little more money the first time, than have to spend even another $100 when you want to get a real machine...
The OP asked for opinions, as he clearly stated he didn't know anything about welders, and that is what he got.
I for one have used the machines, and came to the same conclusion as most others have. They are a pile of shit.
