Hi! New to the forum.
I live in the UK right now but am origionaly from Tacoma Washington.

I own a 82' Series III 109. I have been all over the world in her and have just treated her to a new Galvanised chassis.(As my welding skills were not good enough to keep up with the Chassis rot.

I also own a 3.9 ltr Range Rover classic whos charging system is making me want to self harm myself at the momment.:banghead:

Anyway....HI.

I unfortunately live in South east London. I can get you excellent deals on Crack and Heroin. The latest past time here is getting stabbed. Lots of fun.
Somerset is a wonderful place. I am going to try to get there this weekend for a quick getaway!!

The chassis itself was purchased from Richards chassis in the midlands for about ?1,300.About $2,500. I unfortunately do not have the facility at my home to do the body lift off and the like so I had a friend that runs Gumtree 4x4 in Sussex do the job for me.
NOT the cheapest option but I did get a "buddy" deal.Although very exspensive it was very worth it. She is a good friend and couldnt bear to have her scrapped. Thats the solution to old Landy's here...just bin them.Sad but true.
I felt better when I saw that there was a 2001 Tomb Raider and a 98' 50th aniversery in for Chassis swaps as well.;)

yeah...we heard a guy on the train to london talking about getting mugged. he said he was glad they weren't the guys with the big knives. The funny thing is they only got 60p from him. See if you can get to Dulverton. My grandmother used to own the tantivy downtown. It's a beautiful little place right on exmoor. Have fun!

Yeah, one of my recent trips there I was reading about them banning the carrying of knives. Once they are banned you'll be safe. :p

And yeah, welcome to the dark side.

The crime in London is why I spend all of my time in the UK out in the countryside!

It's sad, when I started going overseas in the early 70s, the tour guides would tell us how safe London was. Now, it seems to be safer in Chicago or NYC.

Welcome to Dweb! I can't imagine owning a vehicle of any sort in London proper. Between parking costs and congestion fees, it wouldn't be worth it to me.

Yep. London was on the news tonite saying that it is in the running for the most exspensive place to live in the word. People here are actualy kind of proud of that...dumbasses. Our Prime Minister has now put green taxes on all vehicles over 2.0l built from 2001 onwards from next year for our road tax. Some of the Land Rovers will be paying up to ?460 for tax in the next year or two. Thats nationwide but localy we have congestion charges in London.
Ironiclaly My 92' Range Rover 3.9 and my 2 1/4 109 are exempt as the Rangie is on LPG and the 109 is concidered a mini bus under the new regulations!!LOL..Suckers.:victory:
