Are they going to check to make sure you work for a cartel before they sell you one of those or will they just take your word for it?

If it's black, is MOLLE-ready, and has some velcro somewhere - it's tactical.

I'm going to start building mission-ready Freelanders.

I'm really not seeing where the money is going into that thing, aside from all that stupid badging and interior trim.

Those prices are ridiculous. $250k for the Security edition? I'd rather buy an old Buick and a hand grenade and keep the difference.

A full glass kit for a fucking DII meeting similar specifications is only $7,000, and a good portion of it has to be made to order. The rest of the stuff, depending upon whether or not it's meant to be removable, is a case-by-case affair, but it's always more expensive on an uncommon vehicle.

To replace the glass (including adjustments), change the fuel tank, protect the undercarriage and radiator, as well as line the panels of a DII with removable mat and plating runs around $15,000, accounting for the exchange rates in the places such services are offered.

Vehicles manufactured by Toyota are frequently armored, so that cost is lower. Every install is a custom affair, but the parts are available off the rack for these trucks, and a number of different models from a few manufacturers.

From the looks of things, Devolro vehicles are not entirely coach-built. If they are delivered as rolling chassis, I could see them cranking out $100,000 trucks, but I don't believe that is the case.

So, we're looking at an extra $150,000. For that kind of cash, I want to see a hell of a lot more than armor.

That's only one half of the coin.

"...the Devolro custom car exterior provides a definitive aesthetics presentation that will turn heads by one and all."

This is on the page detailing their armored vehicle specifications. That ought to tell you everything you need to know.

Cheers,

Kennith
