How do I find someone?

I have someone who I need to contact. Long story short, he knows if he doesnt make his car payments like he should, I'm taking the car. Plenty of legal documentation to back this play, signatures, etc.

Now, he is out of a job and planning on moving I hear form the grapevine...And, taking my collaterall. Of course, he changed his number to something unlisted.

The rub is, I go to his door, knocking...He hides like a little girl. I would like to contact him....Maybe have a girl start emailing him and ask him to meet her somewhere...Soemthing... I dont know. I just want the car, as per our agreement, and he just plain wont do it.

Ideas?

1. Just do a stake out in a car other than your own. Wait for him to leave the house and confront him.

2. Contact the sheriffs dept. before you do a repo. There are papers you will need to file.

3. Once you have the papers, call a tow truck, have them haul it to your house.

4. Or disable the vehicle (remove dist cap) leave note telling him to contact you.

All of that and you didn't get a second set of keys?

Come on, you should of just got another key made, you would be driving a car instead of posting here for help.

Has he missed any payments yet? If he has not then you really can't do anything yet.

Time to get tough, hell I'd call the tow truck today. With the paperwork you can explain everything to the cops and at least he can't flee with the vehicle.

sounds like the note is in Chris's name

if thats the case...just go have your car towed...then let him take you to court to enforce the contract between you two.

if the car note and title are in your name...dude its your car to tow.

I was a little too trusting. I fronted him the money on his last car because he fell on some hard times. He traded that one off and bought this new one, while still owing me. So, I told him if he misses, I'm taking the car back..

Its a fucked up story. At the time it made sense, but now i feekl like a moron!

I got Bday,Social,Etc on him. A email woudl be great. Get a girl to flirt with him to get hiom to met her somewhere, then BAM!

Nah, thats a little much. I dont want to make his life any harder then it needs, he has some tough times...But, business is business, and he needs to live up to his side.

wait so he traded in the car you sold him and you were not listed as a lien holder on the title?

so now this car is listed as 100% in his name both with the new note and the title listing the lender as the lein holder.?

wow the plot thickens

Yep, all I have is a contract I made my lawyer make after he traded it off that he woudl square up. So, I just want him to live up to what he agreed.

Its fucked up fo sho, and I need to figure a way to fix it.

If I can find him face to face, he will surrender the key promtly..He is just avoiding the shit out of me.

Find the car and remove the tags. If he can't afford the payments, he will not be able to afford new tags.

He'll call.

If the cops try to say your stole them, tell them it's your car.

nah...he cant do that...he has a contract with them.

he may have commited fraud, he most likely would have had to sign a lien afidavit when trading the first car in.

plus he has a loan on the new car right?...so there should be a lien on that title so you cant do anything with the car anyways if he does hand it over.

you are going to have to file a suit:ack:

The plates are a good idea.

When I get the car Its sold, or I'm making the payments untill it is. Nissan credit doesnt care, as long as they are getting paid, and they know where the car is.

Its a fucked up story.
