When I get the car Its sold, or I'm making the payments untill it is. Nissan credit doesnt care, as long as they are getting paid, and they know where the car is.

Chris...dont do something stupid that could be looked at as car theft.

Nissan credit cant say its cool as long as they get paid...thats just not how it works.

so you know where he lives, just go over there and keep ringing the bell and be annoying untill HE calls the cops then explain your story. Or stake him out like has been suggested already.

Got a friend with a tow truck?

it is not in his name, its not his car...period!

the only way to fix this is to wait for him outside his house and settle it face to face.

if he is home and wont come to the door, take a lunch and make a day out of sitting on his porch. he will eventually crack.

time to be stern as any legal action will most likely be long and drawn out.

He's missed three payments to you, or to Nissan? Because if he's missed three payments to Nissan they have probably already started repo procedures.

Were you listed on the title for the car he sold? In Az, if you have it listed as party1 AND party2, you need both signatures to sell.

Have u tried Intelius.com? (has been a while since i used it), it does provide some info on the person, as far as relatives and their addresses, phone numbers, public court records etc etc. Might be worth a shot to get the addresses of relatives if any in the area and scope out all the places he might possibly go to. I ve used it once or twice to find stuff on a person, gave me a lot of information. Even if the person moves u can find the info on them.

Another thought is if you really want to pursue it further get your Private Investigator license, so you can look stuff up on people.

I am a touch confused. Are you paying the car company or is he? Is he supposed to be paying you for what he owes you and making the payments and is paying the car company but not you or is he sending no one money? Does he have any equity in this car?

He bought a car, you gave him the money to buy it. He was paying you back. He then sold that car and bought another one? Is he making payments to a finance company and you?

Chris, it sounds like you fucked up and didn't get your name added as a lienholder to the title of the first car.

In spite of my respect for the legal system and my dependence upon it, I have sadly come to learn that contracts, judgments and promissory notes are NOT worth the paper they are printed on. A lien on a motor vehicle title is something different!
