Working on these old f'ers in an ass-cold garage! The BJ won't shut down with it's EDIC and the 110 has no clutch...PT may be doing God's work but I'm doing the devil's with these!

cool garage. we keep the shop at 54 degrees and apparently if I'm cold its because I'm "not working hard enough". I bet you wish you had a 4 post lift too. those two post ones scare me when I have to apply some muscle. especially with 88's

I'm not a professional mechanic by any means.
But we have to keep our student trucks running so...
I hear you though - I could do laps in that garage and still be cold!

The 2 post isn't bad. The lift arms is what can get spooky!

Wait a minute, PT.
You work in an essentially unheated Civil War barn, and you want to put your parts business on the interwebs? Dude!
"Cart? Meet horse. Oh, wait a sec. The horse seems to be a mile down the road BEHIND you."

LOL!! :)

I can't stand four post lifts for anything. The best lifts, in my opinion. the the in-ground two post lifts. At the dealership the shop is usually around 60 or so, but that's because the heaters can't keep up with all the air leaks in the building. In my garage at home I use a salamander and keep the big door open, granted I only have a 20x20 carriage house to work out of...

We used to warm up the cars for about five minutes, then take the spark plugs out and put them in our pockets. Made for great hand warmers. I really don't miss the the cold garage days....

I also forgot to mention how great my day is going... I'm putting in a short block in a Discovery that has a certified warranty, so it pays a whopping 12 hours. To make matters worse, I just went snowboarding for the first time in two years yesterday so I'm very sore.

I feel your pain, we just got an engine in the SVC for the second time after I scrambled the bottom end out of it.

I've been told in no uncertain terms that I'm not to blow this one up on the test drive.

That's as warm as my house! We decided to be crazy this & increase the t-stat to 62?. Still kicks down to 50 at night & when we are away.

I keep my house at 69, just because I like seeing 69 on the thermostat:p . I keep the radiators off in my room though.

Garrett doesn't have any money. We both get our money from the same place. (Well, Garrett turns tricks on the weekends sometimes if he's unlucky at the track.)
