I posted an open invite to run Old Florida Road, one of the best trails in New England, last week and got zero response? Of course 2 friends took me up on it and we had a great day out with the 80 degree weather. But the lack of response had me thinking, how often do you actually wheel? I go every chance I get, probably 3 weekends a month on average, sometimes for both days in that weekend and a couple of 3 to 10 day trips a year.

Less since gas went up. But we'd be out somewhere at least once a month before last october or so

For work, well, I do work for an off road magazine so for that, I am out in the woods. I had 6 trips in December alone!

As for my personal vehicle, the amount I go wheelin' has definately declined. Half of it being fuel prices and the other half being time. Money has been kinda tight as of late and not driving my rig that gets 10mpg makes sense in that regard. I also work a lot here at school. On the weekends, all I want to do is sit around and recooperate.

3 time so far this year. Less frequently when I was in Dallas but with BVORR so close I'm averaging about once every 2 months.

I try once a month, hopefully more in the future...
I actually got my wife to get interested in MAR, if not '08, then '09. I might ship might truck out or make the cross country drive. It boils down to PTO.

I'm a desk chair wheeler... I haven't been out in over a year. Family, work and school keep me busy. When your daily commute is between 60 and 90 miles, it kinda puts a damper on a two hour drive to wheel.

I used to wheel the D90 just about every weekend for years. Then I started taking my old RRC and started working on the truck more then wheeling it so I would only do a couple times a month and more locally then before. Then activity in the local club slowed down and we didn't do too much for around a year. But in the past year club activity has picked way up and I've gotten back to wheeling, now in the D2 (put a 4.6 in the D90 and don't want any more scratches so it doesn't get wheeled like it used to). So now I have a truck (D2) that is built up enough and reliable enough so I try to go at least about once a month...

I'll probably go more often, and take more trips, now that school is over until fall.

does at work count? Parts of my jobsite arent roads, I gotta drive through ditches and over stuff.

When I lived in Oregon and the Tillamook was an hour away, every weekend.

Since I came back to Indiana, once or twice in the past two years.

There is no free legal wheeling in Indiana, closest pay place is three hours, nearest real wheeling is in Kentucky and that's eight hours. Real, real wheeling in the UP is ten hours away. Add the fact that my sister's tow rig was stolen (that I used to pull my trailer) and it's gotten pretty hard to go wheeling.

Doesn't VW make the two rig?;)

Old Florida Road? Where the hell is that located? I'm always game for somthing new.

Adams,MA. If your rig still looks like the profile photo you are not set up for it yet. It's a 7-8/10.

For me it depends on the time of the year.
During shooting season (Spring-Summer) my weekends are usually spent at matches - in the late Summer, Fall and Winter I try to go as often as I can. I think last year I made it out for six or seven day trips and three long weekends - MAR, Fall Heritage and Winter Romp.

I would like to get out more ...

I would have taken you up on it but, I had to work saturday and we already had a club wheeling trip set up for sunday up by Amherst NH. We had a great time, my trailing arms didn't have so much fun but oh'well :banghead:

You shoot pistol right? When I was heavily involved in High Power Rifle it did not leave much time in summer either. Eventually I (and my wife) got sick of 2 or 3 day matches every holiday weekend. I thought of getting back to pistol just to try to go Double Distinguished.
