If anyone sees this 01 hummer on I-40 watch out...as my buddy and I fly in to Land Rover Knoxville on Friday and drive it back West to Oklahoma. I tried to talk him into a SW D90 but he wouldn't have it. Some people just don't get it...

I should be able to hear again by Monday if I'm lucky...

If I wanted something big and impractical and macho, I'd take one of these over an H1 any day of the week.

We had one of those as a Forest fire truck, "The Pig" was slow. but when you got to go into the woods for a brush fire this will get you there, with hose, indian cans, 250 gal of water and tools..... here it is at the end of the lineup back in 95 or so

A neighboring fire dept has one of those trucks. It is refered to (even on the radio) as G I Joe. That thing is slow as a snail, but tough as nails. I was fighting a brushfire one time, they were coming in to back us up. I hear what i thought was a dozer coming thru the woods and i turn to see this truck pushing over a few small trees and bushes. Truly impressive!

If i remember right, those were built by dodge back in the 50's. I have seen several online that people swap in a cummins engines and huge tires. They are already gear so low that they can easily pull the bigger tires.
