Mine makes a click when the AC engages. It's not a terrifying clunk or anything, but I do feel/hear it. It's done it since new. Not sure if that's a normal noise or not, I've never thought about it.

I think there is just some new owner paranoia associated with owning a new Rover. You wind up concerning yourself with every little squeak and clunk the things make. I'm guilty too, as I was quite concerned with all the additional noises my DII makes over my old Tacoma. Just make sure the thing has fluids and then consider the rest "noises from the body"...even Lance Armstrong and Mia Hamm fart and burp now and then, doesn't mean they aren't healthy athletes! ;)

One additional benefit of removal would be to eliminate the possibility of them getting stolen... say, overnight...

i have a set of flares to sell if anyone looses theirs overnight... LOL

Ho, I removed the fender flares today Disco is looking good (Silver/Black).

interesting... any pics? we know someone who's very reluctant to remove his off his silver disco.

i like my fender flares!

the raised lr badge and aero roof rails were also nice touches for the last year of the d2. power is just right for an suv. i had guests in town and they all dug having all seven buckled in those gorgeous tan seats w/black piping. well done landrover!

That flare-less look would be even better on an S that doesn't have the rubstrips on the side. I like it. Too bad I didn't do it 2 years ago, I bet mine are all rubbed raw under there.
