Don't kid yourself. Problems don't go away by themselves...They just manifest themselves in different places. Next thing you know, you'll have:
CEL indicating a misfire in cyl # 4 with a slipped sleeve
ABS pump will start leaking
shocks will start leaking
motor mount will disappear
fuel tank will develop a leak
rear brakes will start to squeel
And to top it all off you'll get a horrendous vibe from 30mph to 70mph.

I said I love my DISCO, not my Range Rover. :D

Not to hijack or anything but that pic of the leak above looks just like mine and I thought it was the rear end of the oil pan gasket leaking. I order a new gasket and was going to replace it this weekend. Is it the oil pan gasket or is it the rear main seal? Should I even bother with the gasket replacement? LOL

TIA

I don't do jack to my 94 Disco besides fluid changes and clean the K$N. I have never in 10 years washed the engine or underside, I swear all the dirt and oil is holding the truck together. When it was under warrenty it was in the shop every month for some minor BS that was totaly cosmetic ie. rear lamp guards. Since it went out of warrenty there have been no major problems. I wheel it hard and it gets abused by my kids but the thing just keeps going ( knock on wood ). Things that have broken or need fixing but I choose to ignore are: clock light is out, passenger side door handle is sticky, back door only opens with a key, stereo backlight is out on half the stereo. Other than the irreparable desert pin striping down the side the thing looks and drives great.

I love my Disco because:
It had a leak that looked just like RoverChic's, but it was only the pan gasket.
The Cavalier that rear ended it was totalled and it only scratched my bumper.
The F150 that my significant other slammed into was towed away- damage to the Disco was $68
It's a relatively simple pig that just keeps on going and breaks far less than the D110 I had.

***** HIJACK***** LOL!! Jeremy it might not be your rear main seal. It very well could be your oil pan gasket as Steve pointed out. For exhibit B I would like to introduce the second but for sure not the last reason why I love my Rover. Tis but another leak from ..The Oil Pan Gasket. Now depending on who wins the OU/Texas game this weekend ..depends on how much work gets done. Work on my Rover has become Quid Pro Quo ;)

I didn't even have to change the gasket- just tighten the bolts a little. I'll probably replace the gasket and check the pump pickup etc before it gets too cold.
It's hard not to jump to the expensive conclusion with a Rover, but sometimes it's something simple.

I love my disco because of all the quality time it wants to spend with me... under it fixing something, under the hood fixing something else.. i think my disco really loves me as it keeps begging for attention :)

......because it is not an extremely common vehicle. It has some style. I am finding it to be very quirky. All characteristics similar to my project car.... (see sig. below) Now this Disco is my project truck!

NoCalDisco - that was hilarious! Thanks for the good laugh.
(side note - I was impressed to see she did not leave her purse sitting on the ground when she took off for the buggie).

Why I love our rangie so much: I would have to agree with the previous answer of all the quality time it wants to spend with Trey and all the money it likes to suck out of our account. We also like the uniqueness of them.
