I'll try to ground the engine to body with some jumper cables tomorrow night. I'll let you guys know if anything changes.

This may sound strange but, check your grounds. Battery to chassis. engine to chassis.

Not so strange - I was thinking about that too. Usually you'll get one or two defective ones, never seen a whole pack defective.

I just installed STi wires and I have the same issue. Under the spark boots its like a fireworks display. I did also change the battery and had to use a new negative cable, to which I attached the old oem ground that goes to the body. still having the problem?

UPDATE:

I grounded my engine with jumper cables last night and the issue is still there. What else can it be? I might try my old OE wires to see if they glow too.

I tried more dielectric grease and it still lights up under the boots.
It does not do it right a start up but after 30 seconds you can watch them fire.

I bet if you guys go out and tryu this, it has to bee pitch black outside you may be suprized yours do it too! the truck runs fine so I'm not too worried but wonder if it will shorten the life of the wires?

My 4.6 doesn't, the last time I checked.

If you are sure the wire is clipped all the way down onto the plug. I would say it isn't arcing. Do they ohm out OK. Pull the boot back and make sure the conductor is making contact with the metal clip. It should be folded back and pinched between the insulation and the clip or sometimes ther is a spike in the clip that penitrates the insulation.
