Daniel,
Thanks for the sitrep.
The idea of a locked up transfer box sounds promising?
You might want to try
www.floridalandroverclub.com. Post a thread. You also might want to look around the website for phone numbers of the guys who trail ride together. I'm sure there isn't a problem out there that they haven't run into. Those boys play rough (way too rough for me
. They have sunk their trucks so much that they have renamed themselves the Florida Rover Yacht Club (if I remember correctly).
Bruce and Gordo both read DiscoWeb, so maybe they'll see this thread and offer some input. David Z also reads DiscoWeb, but like me, he tries to avoid submerging his truck on a regular basis. Even so, he might have some valuable input because I think he may have been at a few of the "yacht club" rides?
Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can help - the offer remains open if you want to come this way after you get the mechanics straightened out for some clean up and dry out help. As I've said, I'm pretty good at that stuff. Even though I go to mucky places sometimes, I still like to have a squeaky clean new looking truck when I'm at home
I will email you my cell phone number. When I'm occupied with other stuff, I don't check my email or my home voice mail - but my cell phone makes an extremely annoying alert tone until I retreive my cellular messages.
Hope things get better soon. I empathize with your current status.
Jamie
