But wouldn't that be a cool way to go? When people asked what happened they could say it was a terrible hovercraft accident. Then everyone they told would go home and watch sitcoms and think about how much cooler you were than them.
I owned a SCAT hovercraft about 12 years ago. It didn't have wings though. It had a 433cc Yamaha twin cyl snowmobile engine and probably went 60 flat out. Used to goof everyone out when I'd pull it off the trailer down the street and ride it from there down to the boat ramp and then out across the lake. You could turn it on a dime, crank the bars and lean and it would spin right around and leap back up and lunge forward. Probably some of the most fun I ever had, sold it when I moved. I know where there is another one sitting under the trees on a trailer, needs all the bags and is a Rotax 277 single. One of these days I may go see the old guy and inquire.
