Leading the enemy to a priority asset by allowing one's origin of attack to remain visible, immobile, and a constant threat is poor planning.
It may have all been in good fun, but it is likely best to prevent careless behavior, when such action may place the security of our own assets at risk. A tracer is visible to all opposing forces.
Axel was simply protecting Discoweb, and possibly exercising a bit of good form.
Hazing is fun, but it's got to stop eventually. If it doesn't, you'll ruin the new guys. Kicking them around a bit when they show up is fine, but remember to gradually integrate them into the larger force.
You never know what benefits they may provide.
