Has anyone used the lr2 multi-system diagnostic tool by icarsoft? Just curious of how it worked and what all it really will do?

I believe there was a thread about this several months ago.
If you do a search it should pop up.

Nice. That thing looks like it packs quite a bit of capability into an inexpensive unit. Looking forward to hearing your impressions.

I'm going to need it. Getting the flashing M & S along with D indicator. Probably my xyz switch but I think I will actually try troubleshooting before I ask people what parts to throw at it.

Good call. It looks like a pretty good unit if it does all it said it would do. I think when I was scanning one of those lists it said it did park assist module and other stuff. Seems like all that should be doable for cheap now that everythings on the CAN networks.Should be a piece of cake to interface with anything on a CAN network. Not sure what that does for the interface on your D2 but if it doesn't work for what you need maybe I'll buy it off you.

Any word on this device?

Yes, it has some quirks but does what it's supposed to on my D2. Today I think we're going to hook it up to Tami's LR3 to look at some suspension faults.
I plan on doing a review sometime soon.

Hi guys, from these posts I'm not sure if you are reviewing the iCarsoft LRII or the Foxwell.
Anyway, I have the iCarsoft LRII and cannot figure out how to register.
Seems that I need some alternative program reader. Did try one and ender up with the dreaded software informer prog which has taken me all morning to remove.
Is this the way of the future for my future D2 masochistic partnership? At least I will only have to use one thumb, as I know I will never be part of that generation.
Eric.

Does the Foxwell compare well to the IIDTool?

I don't know, what's the IIDTool?
From playing with it some I know it will do Gems motors but I don't know what it can do with them other than scan codes.
If anyone in the area has a Gems truck we can hook it up and see.

IIDTool: www.gap-diagnostic.com
Expensive but very popular with L322, LR3, LR4 owners

From looking at the spec sheet it looks like the Foxwell can program most of the things the IIDTool is commonly used for like suspension height config, parking brake release, key programming, etc

Foxwell says it can only access Build mode on LR4s, while the IIDTool can do it on LR3s as well. Might be a mistake in documentation though.
