Its true. Its actually hard to believe due to the terminals being different sized, but I did it. :banghead:

Horn was going crazy, etc.

Replaced 100 Amp fuse in main fuse block in engine compartment.

Current Symptoms: Wipers - front and rear not working (#16) - wiper fuse blows everytime a new one is inserted. Radio not working.

Should I look for an OPEN circuit. Where? How? MFU? Headlights and turn signals all work.

Any help would be appreciated. Does the radio have a fuse directly behind it in the dash?

Thanks

There's no fuse behind the radio that I know of. Does it have power to it? That might just be a fuse.

There is one relay you might check for the wipers. It's located in the right footwell, behind where the owners manual should be. Bottom row, there's 1 yellow and two green relays. It's green and should be on the right end. You might try swapping it with the ignition load relay (green in the center) if that isn't fried too.

MFU might be dead too.

You might just want to get the electronic troubleshooting manual, it would be a big help to fix your problems.

Youre very lucky the battery didnt explode and spray you in the face and eyes with acid. Any problems you have with your car now should seem acceptable compared to a life of pain and disfigurement.

Thanks for the words of concern. I am alive and kicking...my truck.

Checked all systems. Only items that do not function are the radio and the front windscreen wipers and jets.

Thus...I do not think it is the MFU.

Keeps blowing fuse # 16 as soon as started.

Pulled the radio - fuse on back is o.k.

-
Traded out the wiper relay. No help.
-
Checked RAVE CD - Is wipers only section without step by step check list? Rear wiper section has a check list to perform???
-
Any thing else to check instead of each wire run??? Any hidden fuses or relays???

Thanks for the concern and help.

Pull it into Skippy3k's Garage on Sunday. We'll stick screwdrivers in the fusebox until things start working or we'll melt from the 100+ heat...whichever comes first.

I'll call you on Saturday. I've got some sick kids tonight. Should be a fun night.
