All the RR in my area are high priced, high mileage vehicles. I don't mind the mileage but I don't want to over pay for it. I just want one for some off road/beach buggy use. People around my area use them as a status meter and not what they are meant for. Frustrating to say the least. Damn grocery getting soccer mom's. Take that thing in the mud not to the detail shop !!!!!! Thanks I feel better and now getting off my soapbox. Maybe I'll have to go for the Disco. Plenty of them around.

Um...yes, that's why we're oh so happy to be living in Fairfield County or even CT in general. The "real" world is far far from here... There was a RRC for $350 in Wallingford for $350 the other day, only 1 bid but it's not running...

I've seen some fairly good priced ones around. There seem to be loads of them in NY and North NJ if you are willing to go that far.

Hey, I don't mind all the MILF soccer moms driving around. There is a lady that lives near me that drives an LR3 HSE, she is banging.

One of a million reasons to leave Connecticut! I did 15 years ago and have never looked back.

I'd look at shipping out a nice rust free west coast vehicle if I were you. Craigslist, Ebay or one of the many Land Rover Forums should have what you need.

Good Luck!

ethan, damn dude. i know exactly what you mean.

anyway, pete, there is nothing wrong with a clean truck. i hate those young fuck-tards that take their jeeps, etc through a mud hole and drive around for weeks looking like shit. i enjoy the soup bowl rather than a mud hole. for your described use, you should shoot for a RRC or a D1.

Why where should it be Roverdoc ?? I thought this was the place to discuss all things about Rovers. If not I apologize and please let me know where I should post in future

Can somebody move this to general forum. Seems I've got someones panties in a wad. I guess you can't discuss BUYING a RR in the RR tech section. I thought it was a good place but I'm wrong again.

What are we trying to say here? I served up caviar on toast at Mar and I would wash mine but afraid the stripes might come off. In this area central Va you could find a decent trail truck 2500-3000 by my standards anyway. Very few soccer moms in the area but if your lucky you can run across a few women with all their teeth. One I know makes a great Rum cake.

dont worry about some of these fucks pete. you are more prone to get good TECH info about buying a used RR in the TECH section. i have found that i am in the upper echelon of rover pricks sometimes regarding particular topics

Bah! No tech! Anyway, got my 89 with lift/tires blah blah for under 2k. A lil high, but when you know and wheel with the person selling, you dont low ball too bad. I havent washed the mud off it from Saturday--merely because I am lazy, and WTF, if 20 years of life didnt kill the bastard neither will a few days of dirt. Its my beater rig, dont have to worry about dents, scrapes, breaks.

I do bark back but have learned to PICK my fights. Every butthead that comes along doesn't bother me as much as it did before. I tend to be more mature(when did that happen) than them and not stoop to their level.

On another note I will continue to search for my RR classic but may entertain the Disco idea. Do the RR really have more cargo space than a Disco or is it just mind games ? Bigger vehicle more room mentality.

"Fuck Tards"..... whaahaha... ! :D

I hear new slang constantly. Seems like new versions of old words are always popping up.
