Plans are also afoot to expand the range, with a double-cab pickup top of the agenda. That is likely to be followed by a chassis cab (a pickup minus the load bed) and, quite possibly, a short wheelbase version of the Station Wagon.

Definitive pricing is not available, but the two-seat commercial derivative will cost roughly £45,000 (including VAT) and the five-seater is expected to be around £50,000.

Does Mercedes sell their engines like BMW does? With the F1 sponsorship it’s odd Ineos chose BMW.

Fair point. Mercedes supplies their engines to other F1 teams (i.e. McLaren). The first thing I thought of when I read your post was Ineos using the Mercedes F1 engine, which could result in a really interesting drive. Then I remembered the OM648 3.2 CDI that they put in the Gelandewagen and other vehicles: 201 hp at 4,200 rpm and 369 lb⋅ft of torque from 1,800-2,600 rpm. That would also be a solid choice. But I suppose the F1 tie-in is purely for marketing given the size of that audience.

Edit: I'll add that when I watch a Formula 1 race, I don't know what a lot of the sponsors are. Splunk? Dark Trace? Kimoa? OMP? Versa? Vuse? No idea, and not going out of my way to find out.

You know McGovern is looking down on them with snobbish disgust.
I doubt that. They are so far removed from the company they used to be and a vehicle like the Grenadier that I doubt they give it a second thought. In their mind the Lexus LX or the Infinite QX 80 is what they are competing against.

On one of our trips to Val-d'Isère we hooked up with a local club in order to run the trails. France will confiscate your vehicle unless you’re with an authorized group. We still stay in contact with them. They sent this picture. It was being shown at the All Terrain Fair in Valloire.

Looks like around 65k. Supposedly going to come in one flavor with very few upgrade options.

There are a number of options on the website. Look at the build your own section.

Integrated Winch, gull wing windows, sliders, diamond plating. It’s pretty cool.

Really, I just went by what the article implied. They took the time to write an article and post it in the public domain you'd think they would take the time to get their facts straight. But from your reply maybe not...

I think they’re dead wrong?

Have a look

Options are country specific. So roll over to the USA setting.

The GB setting will let you configure a two door model and a utility version though. Which is cool.

It would be nice if they had at least a price "range". Its a vehicle that seriously interests me. But I'm not going to give them $450 to hold for 2 years while they get pricing and whatnot figured out.

Looking at pricing announced for other countries, you can expect it to be around 60-70k.
