There was some article in a magazine years ago - and this was years before the first LR mags. The first responder, the local fire chief, drove a '64 109, which he then used to pull the vehicle to the bank. Later, a wrecker was used to hoist it back onto the bridge/roadway. There was a photo of the 109 with a rope leading to the vehicle.
