Wait, so this rack was run over by a 109, when it broke in two due to rust and then was rewelded? Or am I misreading something?

I don't know if Trevor actually drove over it (I don't think so because it seems like it would have smashed the tubing) but he hit it with his 109 when the rack was sitting on the floor or something. It didn't just break in two, on one side the welds where the side attaches to the top platform broke. Those welds were already rusty so they were probably weakened before he hit it and broke Kyle's welds. Obviously since it is one piece in the pictures of it on my truck it was welded back together.
That doesn't mean this rack is any weaker than any other backpack rack or anything. That's just the background story as to why it's not square and the sides coming off the platform going down to the gutters are not at the exact same angle (as you can see in the pictures).
