You know that if the Bush admin had stopped an attack, they would have been the first to take credit, because everthing is political with these guys. AlQueida is patient, how long was it between the World trade center bombing and 911? They'll be back, and we won't be ready.

Fair enough, but you made my arguement for me. The first black president did nothing about the first bombing, he treated it like a criminal matter.....

At least, W is going after them... Black Presidents lack of doing anything allowed them to grow in strenth.

Side note..... Take a look at the diversity of the First black Presidents cabinet.... I think there are 2 black guys, way in the back of the picture......

The first black president from the party of diversity had 2 black members of his cabinet, and hid them in the back of the room.... Pandering? Yeah, sure is.

It's one thing to go after the terrorist, its completely another to after them in the wrong country. Invading Iraq has nurtured them into growing in strength. Regarding Clinton, there have been more than enough reports stating the clinton admin warned the Bush admin about terrorist threats, but Bush etc blew it off. A "no one predicted the levees would collapse" type situation.

Why is it that Communist call Bush a Fascist? He is no way a totalitarian. That description better fits the Left.

apg - your list is a better fit for the Left and Democrats. Referencing a lunatic like Dean says a lot.

I've always thought it especially asinine when a liberal calls bush a Nazi. The Nazis were socialists, which is much closer to liberal democrats.

As far as accomplishments: how bout the fact that corrupt CEO"s are going to prison and at the same time the economy is growing like crazy. Thats more than I can say for the 90's. You libs may not be aware of how strong the economy is. I think they left it off your dummycrat talking points again. I'm sure it was an honest mistake.

Sorry, don't watch much TV. In fact if 90% of media outlets went belly up I could care less, that is except for sports, history and documentaries :D I haven't watched prime time TV in years.

What's absent from that statement is that every other politician ranks even lower than Bush. I have my theories on that but that's another discussion.

Perhaps. But, 30 years later.... Opinion is changing about that.

Truman in 1951 had %21....

You gonna say Truman wasn't a good president?

This polls says he was the 5th best...

Just because someone isn't popular doesn't mean they arent doing a good job.

Like Tony Snow crowing about wage and job growth last week. Until somebody asked him if his figures were adjusted for inflation...which they wern't. So much for the 'growth'....

You're going to have to back up your claims that the economy is strong and 'growing like crazy' as opposed to the 90's. Time for some hard facts, not spin.

by what is essentially the party that actively appeals to its racist base.

The party that was started on the platform to stop slavery, and whos first president was Lincoln, is racist?
The Republican Party was established in 1854 by a coalition of former Whigs, Northern Democrats, and Free-Soilers who opposed the expansion of slavery and held a Hamiltonian vision for modernizing the United States.

The Party that has former KKK members representing them in Congress is not racist?

He served as president pro tem again from June 2001 until Republicans retook the Senate in January 2003, after Senator Jim Jeffords resigned from the Republican Party, giving control to the Democrats marking the first time the one time klansman was the Democrats first in the line of succession to the US Presidency.

Blacks are fooled, which is why they stick with the dems.

Fixed it for you.

A couple of ways to judge the performance of an economy is to look at the direction of interest rates while the other is the demand for labor.

A growing economy puts demand pressure on a limited supply of goods and services. Inflation has increased so the Fed is appearing to be tough by raising rates to slow demand and reduce inflation. Inflation lags growth so as the Fed puts the brakes on by raising rates the too curves should converge somewhat.

Demand for labor is also up. Current unemployment rate is roughly 4.7% which according to some is full-employment. That is the reason we have a significant influx of illegal aliens that are looking for and finding work. Mexico on the other hand is not supplying enough jobs for their population growth rate. If the economy contracts look for a drop in immigration.

The late 90's was the internet / technology bubble in which a clueless Fed enabled a stock market bubble. An exponential increases in the stock market was not sustainable and resulted in trillions of dollars in paper money lost. I say paper because it was not real, nearly all speculation with cheap leveraged money.

Blacks are still in slavery but they are now just beginning to figure out whose plantation they are on - the Democrats. Until they walk away from the pandering Democrat party they will not enjoy true freedom.

Democrats' Worst Nightmare
Town Hall ^ | May 29, 2006 | Robert Novak

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. -- Richmond Myrick, the principal of Largo High School, is a registered Democrat in overwhelmingly Democratic Prince George's County next to Washington, D.C. He has not been active politically and is not recorded as having made any contributions to candidates for federal office. Recently, he stood in the parking lot of Prince George's Community College adjoining his school to introduce Republican Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele, whom he has endorsed for the U.S. Senate.

Myrick is African American, as are most students at Largo High. So is Steele. If enough non-political blacks follow Myrick's course, Steele will become the first black Republican elected to the Senate in 32 years. That is the Democrats' worst nightmare. Democratic dominance in Maryland has been based on maintaining hammerlock over the state's substantial African-American vote. Steele threatens that domination.

Steele sees national implications and put it to me this way in a conversation before the recent rally in Upper Marlboro: "It's a breaking point. I've heard the talk: 'Hillary, Bill, Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, all are coming in to campaign against you. They can't bear to see you win this race.' If I win this race, I am sure that the whole dynamic changes."

The dynamics? The Democrats Plantation constructed from victim mentality and low expectations.

Given you're talking about the county next to me, the county in which I grew up, I can say that's one big-ass leap in Mr. Novak's logic, Mark. It may be that Mr. Myrick, who has heretofore been inactive politically and therefore not wedded to either major party, thinks Mr. Steele is the best man for the job. Or, that he is tired of the republican govenor of my state treating Mr. Steele like shit. Or, maybe he just wants to see a black man as govenor. Now, where's the outrage when Mr. Novak employs the plantation analogy? As an aside, Robert Novak is an ass.

For those interested, there was an excellent op-ed in yesterday's WSJ regarding the "lessons" of Enron, written by a short fund manager.
