I am new to the site and have found everyone to be very helpful. My 95 D1 seems to be leaking from the back of the transfer case. I can't tell if it is coming from above and running down or is coming from that seal. Is there anything particlular I should be looking for? Any help would be appreciated.

I'd clean the area around where you noticed the fluid covers the tcase. In fact, clean as much as you can say with some sort of degreaser, hose it off and then wipe it dry. Then drive it at least a few miles at moderate speeds then check under and chances are you might just narrow down where the leak is coming from. Mine came from one of the bolts on the inspection cover. My mechanic did the same procedure to find out for sure that it wasn't coming from above the cover or anywhere else for that matter.
