they are the definity dakota m/t....second to last one

what do you guys think about these tires? i believe they go up to 33" and for around 100$ a pair is a great price ive heard good reviews about them. has anyone had any experiance with them? Also im planning on going 245/70-16 with stock suspension has anyone had any problems with this? ive searched the forum and didnt seem to get much

but last question if i buy the 30.3 inch tires and buy a 2 inch lift will it look out of porportion like will the lift be to tall and the tires will be to small?

here is the link for the tires...oh and the reason i would have to get 245/70-16 is that i need new tires for state inspections and i cant afford a lift right now

D1 or D2??? makes a difference, d2 can handle bigger tires no lift.....

I'm running these in 265x75x16 on my D2 and they are pretty nice. they were $125 a tire. I've had them for about 2 years and have put them through some rough stuff. They are a very soft rubber so they dont get along with rocky surfaces so much, I've lost quite a few of the nubbs off the tires, but they are great in the mud. I believe they are an old Cooper Tire design.

and i can fit 30.3's on a stock D1 right also are the stock D1 tire sizes 29inch?

oh yeah i did some research on the tires and found out they are made by cooper tires and they are pretty good

PepBoys used to have a mud tire - IIRC, called "Futura Enforcer."
I had a set - very tough sidewall, fairly heavy, hard to balance, excellent on the rocks due to very soft compound - and, for the same reason, very short-lived.

All in all, a good 25-kmi tire. From the "finger feel," Dakota is the same (with the different tread design).

I had 245's on my stock D1 with a little bit of rubbing at the rear when offroaded, on road they were fine. When I went to a 3" lift they looked way small. Just my 2 cents.

I like the look of these tires and have seen them at pepboys... normaly I won't go to them cause they never have anything for rovers... I can't find any thing about the sizes though... I wonder if they have 285/75-16 or 255/85-16...

I know they come in 265 and 285. I don't think they come in 255.http://www.offroaders.com/reviewbox/showproduct.php?product=714&cat=3

I hear they are made by Cooper tires.

I just got off the phone w/ Pep Boys and they said the tire is $112 each. Buy 3 get the 4th free. It's $121 to have them installed however. That includes a free oil change. I don't think I want their jungle juice going into my baby's belly though. The salesman tried to slip in an alignment when he gave me the price of somewhere in the neighborhood of over $650. The price does include stems though. Sorry, I have become very jaded with the nickel and dime stuff that is so often employed @ tire stores. Probably a good tire, but I hate getting the run around, especially from a grease covered 17 year old with a lot of attitude!

I wouldnt trust my life to those tires...but I'm stupid

What's the matter Gem? Is it because they don't have the letters "HD" on them?

Bah, I'm quite comfortable with them. I agree that they are a bit soft and can see where the lugs could be nipped off pretty easily. My RRC doesn't get wheeled, (yet), so my only experience is pavement, snow, beach sand and some dirt paths going to some hiking spots for me and the dogs, and they're working a-ok.

LOL....buy 3 get the 4th free but pay more than the cost of the 4th for installation. Still not too bad for 4 tires for $457 ($114 each). But the 3, get #4 for free and go somewhere else to get them installed. Oh, and screw Pep Boys and their oil change and alignment bullshit.
