what is a 30.3?

come on newbie...what size are you trying to fit?

2" lift...call for 235 85 16 with a little rear fender mod and away you go...best size for a stockish disco.

I would say just go with the 245/75-16...

As far as buy 3 get the 4th free you have to get them installed there and you have to get the road hazard on them too... the the bs 40k war you have to have pep boys rotate them and only them... or the war. is void...

I talked to them today...

They don't have a 255/85 but they do have the 285/75 I would think about these if I didn't have my connection to 4wheel parts...

I've put about 15~20K on these tires and they seem to have more than half their tread still left. I've never had a problem with the sidewalls either. just with the soft compound, I always seem to find a new chunk of tread missing. I'll buy them again

I'm running these in 265x75x16 on my D2 and they are pretty nice. they were $125 a tire. I've had them for about 2 years and have put them through some rough stuff. They are a very soft rubber so they dont get along with rocky surfaces so much, I've lost quite a few of the nubbs off the tires, but they are great in the mud. I believe they are an old Cooper Tire design.
Question, Is your truck stock and do you take it offroad? I'm interested in tire sizes!

Thanks

Thanks

My truck has a 2 inch OME lift, TJM front bumper, and rock sliders. The only time I drive it is either on the high way, or off-road. It sees very little city driving. The tires wear very well for all the extra weight of the bumper and sliders. I got the 265x75x16 and got the D rated so it would be a slightly harder compound.

I was perfectly content to run 245/75/16 tires on my OME HD suspended D1 (about 2-2.5" lift). It looked fine. A little bit of rear fender rubbing on full tuck but it's easy to remedy that.

On stock suspension you will likely rub in the wheel well and rear fender on full stuff.

I had 2 sets of Dakotas in 33x12.5x15 on my Toyota T-100, they're made by Cooper. Discount tire sells the same ones and they're not bad for the price. I had Discount sipe them and that really helped in the rain and ice. I just put a set of 265 70 16 Genral Grabber AT2's on my 2000 DII and they're awsome. Great in the snow, rain, mud and quiet. I think I paid $90 per tire from Tire Direct, best deal out there.

fuck that i like a 3 ply D or E load rating...

Personally I am not a fan of D and E loads. I run E loads on all my trucks and I'd never do it again. Too stiff and not enough flex in the tire.

Not to mention that most tire companies increase the ply "rating" in the tread and not the sidewall when you increase from C load to D and E.

My E loads have 5 plys in the tread and 2 in the sidewall. That's pretty common practice NOT to increase the sidewall thickness with an increase in load rating.

There's truth to that.
I have a set of Michelin LTX - E-rated, sidewalls must be made out of plywood, on one truck. They are so stiff that I have to run them at 25psi on the street, otherwise the ride is unbearable.

FWIW, the 35x12.5 tires I had on the jeep, IIRC, had the same max load rating as the stock 235/70 Michelins on the Rovers, and yet they were C-rated.

I currently have Nanking MudStars in a 245/75-16 E size and rating... I run them at 70psi (yes a bit stiff but thats fine with me) I did run them for a while @ 45psi but noticed that the tread started cupping and my mileage was way down that max psi on them is 85... Personaly I like the e rating...
