LR is dead last in JD Powers IQS

Land Rover is dead last in Initial Quality Survey from JD Powers. Good to see that Tata is keeping with tradition.

Porsche is first, I knew I made the right decision when I started divesting rovers and buying porsche.

SOOOOOOOO.....when toyota recalled all those 2010 model cars...that must not have affected their ranking, because I am sure that recall alone would put them a lot closer to the bottom, if not at the bottom.

It's not going to take LR going out of business for the company to stop making spares. Based on the post traffic on here it doesn't seem like many members of Dweb own post-2005 vehicles, so for 90+% of us we shouldn't care.

I guess eventually we're going to run out of Discos and will have to start buying used LR3s to fix up an modify.

Used is right. At one of my unfortunate visits to my local dealer, I just browsed around the new LR4.

It was NICE! Then I looked at the sticker........holy fuck:ack:

The pursuit of gizmo laden electrickery is high on the list of LR these days with the movable cameras, fancy dash graphics and duel view display and I am sure it has created quite a few trips to the dealer.

My RR has 23 computers in it, my Boxster has 1.

I was just listening to a guy on the radio being interviewed about this. Per him the worst Land Rover only has .6 defects more than the best Porsche. (That's like 1/2 of a defect).
