Make an off-road trailer out of the junkyard disco?

i think it'd be pretty cool to have a disco trailer. there are definitely easier options...like buying a trailer. or better tub options like a series shell, but it'd be cool to see a disco towing half of its twin around on the trails

O.k. If I have a D2 rolling frame, some steel and some fab skills, I'll just ignore them and write a check for $2300 for this....

Might just put the word out and see if someone has an old trailer in the back forty. Got a '44 Ben Hur Naval Munitions trailer from a communications company in S Utah for a song. Indestructable and pulls like a dream.

i saw a military trailer sitting in someone's yard on my way to tuskegee the other day. If i wasn't sure I'd probably get shot on my way to the door I woulda inquired whether it was up for sale.

Where exactly? I'll go ask.

I try and take a look this week and either get the GPS coordinates or just go ask. there are also some old military ambulances in another yard around there which could also serve as a possible vehicle to chop and make a trailer out of.

I dunno the cutoffs are just so hillbilly looking..I see some of these in peoples lawns, I dunno if its RIGHT to hook one up to my d2...

i rather save up for a sankey

The Sankey - or other 'military' trailer - is the way to go. The nice thing about the Sankey is that it uses the same bolt pattern as the Disco or Series Rover. It also floats if you screw in the drain plugs. Behind the Disco, you hardly know it is back there, even off-road. Not so much behind the 88"....

Cheers

we took 2 rrc's made them into cargo trailers here at Columbia Rovers, they were just some old rangies that we parted out. we use them to haul scrap metal and stuff like that. i dont know all the details on the build but here are some pics. the doors still open for easy side loading as well.
