Ive removed my ACE pump and the sway bars. disconnected the plugs at the valve body, disconnected (what I think is) the ACE slabs.. The amber dash light is still on!:banghead:

What am I missing?

As far as I know you're stuck with it. A simple solution would be to remove the instrument pack and just cover up the LED that lights it up.

I had someone send me their cluster and I turned the light ON with my nanocom, I assume it would be able to turn it off too. Of course I don't have a D2 anymore so I cannot offer this service anymore.

Pulled the fuse. Light is still on

Did you pull the BIG connector under the glovebox side of the dash that looks like none of the other connectors? Even if the light is enabled in the cluster/bcu software, I think it should only come on as a bulb check. The ACE computer sends the signal to actually turn the light on for errors

Yes I pulled the BIG connector and the fuse, Still have the light. How hard is it to pull the dash pod off? Looks like just a couple screws.

Yep, just a couple of screws, that go into the hood that is probably broken there anyway. Slide it straight toward you, off the clips near the windscreen so you don't break those too.

Then I think there are just 2 screw on each side of the cluster and a bunch of connectors. You might want to disconnect the battery if you are going to remove the cluster.... so that you don't make the BCU mad. You could end up with a flashing odometer due to mismatched miles if things are powered up when you unplug them.

im pretty sure it is in BECM configuration. but it has been forever since i used T4 or worked on a d2 that isnt my own or my moms...

I'm pretty sure you would have to replace the BCU to get the light out. I don't think T4 can change the configuration file. You may be able to do it with an Autologic, but I don't think T4 can.

I pulled mine and reconfigured the BECM with my Nanocom. You just tell the car that it isn't installed and the light goes away. The BECM is the same for all cars and the ACE was an upgrade, so I assume a T4 can do the same.

west of the city...
you need to have the correct c/d and the computer at the dealership. The t-4 did not have the correct settings for my 03. we used an 04 c/d to tell the truck that it did not have ACE.
