Master Brake Cylinder & SS Brake Hose Install Advice?

I purchased a new Master Brake Cylinder from Will Tillery and SS brake hoses from Rovertym for my 96 Disco which has about 165K miles on it. I called my independent rover shop to ask how much it would be for them to install my parts and bleed the system and I received a quote of $ 700. The quote of $700 has me thinking it may be a complicated job. Is it really that labor intensive?

I skimmed through the RAVE manual and the procedure appears to look fairly straight forward. Is this something a weekend mechanic can tackle? Is this as simple as remove old parts, install new parts, and bleed system? Will I need to make adjustments to anything?

Any tips?

It isn't difficult at all. there isn't much info on the master brake cylinder, but it just goes back together the way it came out. As for the SS brake lines, install is easy as can be. However, when you put it all back together, and completely flush the brake fluid, and bleed the brakes, you will want to find someone with a testbook to do a final bleed. The testbook will activate the ABS and flush out any air.

Have fun!
