Ecu seal from a 14cux

Don't have a spare gems to take apart, but I seem to remember a similar one. Maybe a tech threw your seal out during a campaign

The ECU can be installed safely inside wherever you want. The waterproofness comes from the Ford EDIS coil packs which can be fully submerged and not miss a beat, as long as the rest of the engine is well sealed. There is no air meter to deal with either. Massive boost in ignition voltage so you can run a wider plug gap as well. Full tunability, which means you can run dual fuel maps, one for power and one for economy.

EDIS is old tech. COP/CNP is the new SOTA.

I have a 14cux plenum on my 4.6 at the moment but plan on running the GEMS 4.6 plenum and intake with the MS setup.

On mine I have the edelbrock performer intake and a holley carb, so for me it would mean sourcing a whole top end set up. It's one of the reasons I had been kicking around a bolt on set up using a GM TBI set up.

I've done a bunch of tbi conversions to non gm vehicles, and while it is super reliable and simple, I think 14cux is the way to go for rovers. Almost the same system other than 4 injectors per bank instead of 1, maf instead of a map sensor, and standalone ignition. Many aftermarket tbi systems are also fuel only, but you really aren't making anything simpler. The only negative of 14cux vs tbi (using the truck 122747 ecu) is the rover tps which is made of unobtanium. The 14cux serial diagnostics are actually much more advanced and useful

I'd flip a coin. The centered air filter on tbi would be a cleaner installation, but the 14cux manifold might give you 5 more Ft lbs of torque

This is not the direction I was expecting when I saw the thread title.. especially after seeing that Dan posted in here.

I am disappointed, I think I will walk outside and smack Chappy for slacking.
