motor swap

I have a 3.9v8 and r380 5speed gearbox from '94 Defender.
The question: can I put this into a Disco I? What years and how hard?

engine:
I'm guessing this is an easy swap into a '94-'95 DI. Sound right?
Can I put it into a '96 or newer? How much mucking about needed (to hook up to obdii)? Does AT make a difference?

gearbox: assuming a 5spd DI, can I use the gearbox in the disco via a straight swap? I understand that the stick/lever hw will need to change. Anything else, or is this a no-go?

The Defender transmission won't fit the Disco, your shifter would be in the backseat.

The engine can only go into a pre-'96 as it won't support the EMS.

guess i'll save you a search. switching from obd1 to obd2 no fun so go with a 94 or 95, and find one with a 5 speed already in it.
