He is not measuring pH that is for sure. pH is measured (electronically) by measuring electric potential of the hydronium ion across a water permeable glass membrane (a pH meter). He is probably measuring voltage from electrolysis or something that takes place once the coolant gets acdic, so there is a correlation between the voltage and the pH. If you want to measure pH cheaply get some pH paper from a pool supply store.

Just more puzzle palace crap to confuse and sell coolant flushes. I spent my whole life working in high end car dealerships and not one manufacturer has ever asked me to measure the voltage drop accross anybodys coolant system.
