Dumb question, but is the 110 rear axle the same as a d1 or is it salisbury? If it is the same as a d1 pm crown14, he has a detroit 3rd member complete and ready to drop in...

You can get it cheaper than 435.00. Call Rovertracks, he'll get you the hook up - half price of Great Basin.

....James Gall got one for like 250.00. Not sure where it came from, though. Of course, he paid another 300.00 to have it installed.

That's just stupid money to install a Detroit.

The Sals does not have a 3rd member. It's not as simple of an install. It takes 3x as long and the shims are a PITA. $300.00 is really not too bad of a deal as you're looking at a 3-hour install.....I think he may have gotten new gears installed at the same time, too, I can't remember. Pretty sure he did as he's running 4.88:1's (or maybe they're 4.56:1's, I can't remember)

Yeah not the best point and i'm going to make the excuse of lack of CAFFEINE this morning.

The only vechicles that really use them are 101FC. And we all know how rare those are in the U.S.

Get the detroit. They are cheap and don't buy from any rover parts place (expecially GBR!!). So far, the cheapest for detroits has been PORC (performance off road) in georgia.

The detroit installs are just like a lunchbox locker in american style axles. So you can install one without needing to re-shim and all that shenanigans.

Lastly, no real reason to run an ARB since the detroit is basically invisible in the long wheelbase trucks. So save money, simplify, and go wheel it!!

Yeah, if he had gears done too, I could see it being that much. , But I did not see that on your original post. Which led to my surprise.
