Tie rods specifically.
Every new 4-by has its weak spots. Wranglers seem to lose the suspension arms' brackets off the axles, and break the steering knuckles.

What was the spotter doing? “Totally fine”. “Keep coming.” If the tie rod was hit before it shows a vulnerable part. Would have thought a closer look before just coming off that rock.

I tried to look it up on Autozone but they don't list tie rods for the Bronco, but I wonder if it could be due to cross platform use in the name of cost reduction. Because the tie rod used on the Ranger would surly work on a Bronco with 35's wheeling Moab.

Looks like the same style tie rod on every IFS truck I’ve seen. Someone will make beefier ones, then you’ll start seeing cracked or otherwise busted steering racks. Circle of life.

I was interested in the Bronco when first announced. That said upon seeing them in person I've been pretty underwhelmed. I felt like the 4 door reminded me of a shoe box on wheels. That said, those were all soft tops. Over the course of the last couple of weeks I've seen a few HT models and it is a hugh improvement IMO. Ran across the pictured the other day and damn I thought it looked good. If money weren't an issue and I wanted a rig to throw a cooler in and go run some trails this looks like it would do.

Bent mine on Potts Mountain, bent it back as best I could and sleeved it with the hilift handle after cutting it down to get off the trail.

I've never had any major mechanical breaks on the trails in my 3 Rovers over 24 years now. But I treat them very gingerly and only tread upon soft grass.
