does anyone run nitto mud grapplers on their rover? Does anyone have a pic of a D90 with them on stock rims? I'm really tired of my BFG AT's gumming up evertime i'm off-road and i wanted to try something different.

what size are you looking at getting? the mud grapplers seem more like a show truck tire than an offroad tire...i've never heard/read any real reviews of them off-pavement.

i think there are a lot better (and less noisy) options out there to consider.

look a lot like trXus all terrains, widely regarded as absolutely useless tires. I agree they seem to be show truck tires best armorall'd to a high shine.

They look like they might be ok on dry rocks / slickrock... but then again, so is every tire. They look like they would gum up pretty quickly in mud.

Nitto seems to have spent a lot of marketing dollars to get them on trucks in magazines, but I haven't seen any on real trail rigs.

From what I understand they are supposed to be pretty good. They have been primarily on show trucks due to the sizes (big rims) but based on the tread pattern and the one review I read they should do well. Sure do look cool!!

I'm thinkin about the trxus mt's also and I've heard good things about the mud grappler off-road.

what are you going to be using these tires for? offroading or driving around in your D90 non trail truck. i'm pretty confused as to your intentions due to your sig.

drive it on road just get huge road tires, you'll still look tough. offroad it seriously, if you have money, get nicer tires, if your parent's arent financing everything then get retreads, you've obviously got enough wheels to still get around town fine without worrying about if your retreads will explode like tractor trailer retreads. but they dont. mine still havent...

I still off-road the D90 alot because the RRC isn't even close to ready to be wheeled. Plus i still plan on wheeling it after the RRC is done. and I have been stuck to many times and almost ripped up the side of the D-90 because of those AT's. Yes this is my DD but I still take it off-road or why would I drive a D90? And this is from my money

What's wrong with ripping up the side of your vehicle?

How's the saying go, if you dont use it, you lose it?

Nothing! I ripped up the entire side of my truck on a trail last year. Lesson learned and body shop paid....

You fixed it? what.....

Yeah, it was bad and the 90 is my DD. TOok out all the lights so it was a matter of getting pulled over constantly or fixing it.

The Nitto Mud Garpplers are more of a rock tire, like BFG Krawer's. Plus the Nitto MT's are $$$, and probably would have to be special ordered or bought online.

Save some cash and time and just get some 285/75 SSR's (34x11.5) if you want an aggressive looking tire or some 287/75 (33x11.5) Trxus MT's if you want a good MT that will not cost a ton.
I'm going to run the 285/75R16 Trxus MT's myself on my D2. I had a set on my D90 for six months, back a few years ago when my dad and I tried out like 5 or 6 different MT's/AT's, and they did very well.

Since the Mud Grapplers have been out for awhile now and they've been on two of Justin's trucks...any update on how these tires perform?
