Well, for all you guys that knew me around C'ville and Albemarle by car 128 you might want to be careful about what you do when you see it now. As of October 28th I will no longer be employed with the county police and as of November 1st I will be employed by the Augusta County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff offered me a job last week and I took the opportunity to work where I live. Better shifts, better equipment, and better working environment. The best part is I get to leave the C'ville anti police culture behind. Of course i'll still be game for the roadside meet ups while i'm working whenever I see a fellow enthusiast. So don't start trying to swallow your weed when you are getting pulled over on I-81. It's only me...

congrads. i know how the anti police culture is. just remember one thing working for a sheriffs office: in VA you serve at the pleasure of the sheriff. i hope the job goes well for ya.

so, do we get challenge coins from your new dept? ;)

I still carry yours. We actually just got challenge coins at the department i'm leaving. I've still got your address so I'll get one out to you. Challenge coins aren't real popular around here for some reason.

Want are you driving now? I keep seeing Augusta County deputies and I don't know whether to wave or give them the finger. :)

What would that matter? Trevor would feel bad if you didn't give him the finger

A gold or silver coin with the department's logos on it. I was able to get EMA, PD, FD and SuperBowl Pub Safety coins and sent them out to the officers on DWeb. Some departments use them to trade with others instead of patches. They're concerned patches/badges can be used to impersonate an officer if sold or stolen.
