No Power To Pump

Hi!

So my truck wasn't started for about 4 months while I replaced the heads and gaskets etc over the winter. Once done last wed I went to start it and the battery was dead. I charged the battery (too low to jump) and the truck started right up, it ran for about an hour that night and then I went to work on Thursday, I made it about 10 miles and it died while I was driving. I went to start it and nothing. Tried jumping it and nothing, AAA tried jumping it, nothing. So I had it towed home. I replaced the battery and the battery terminals. Now the first turn of the key it does nothing, the 2nd turn it cranks but won't start. The pump is not priming. I checked the fuse under the hood, it's good, I bypassed the inertia switch and no difference, I replaced the relay under the hood with another one I have and no difference, the harness on that connects to the fuel pump was replaced about 6 months ago and I checked it and jiggled it with no difference.... so I ordered a replacement pump, guess what, still nothing.... what am I missing?
Could this be the replacement terminals on the battery? Thanks!

If I'm understanding correctly, you're not getting any response the first time you turn the key. Is this every time you go to start it? If this is the case, I'd suspect your ignition switch.

Have you tried using jumper wires to power the fuel pump? If you power it independently and the truck runs, then you're on the right track with a fuel pump power issue. If not, then your fuel pump power supply is not the problem. In this case, I'd be wary of something like a crankshaft/camshaft position sensor. Sorry, I'm not extremely well versed with the D1, but I'd say it's likely that you have a bad connection or damaged wire/sensor as a result of re-assembly in that case.

Have you checked for any codes?

Thanks for the replies guys! I started going through the fuses in the fuse box under the dash one by one, just in case there was one in there that might someone have something to do with the fuel pump. The fuse for the alternator was blown, as soon as I replaced it the truck started right up!

check for melted o2 wires and chaffed coil power wires. I believe the 4.0 powers ignition and o2 heaters off that fuse.

So today i put a new fuse in and it started right up and is idling in my driveway. Yesterday, after it died it would
Blow the fuse as soon as i turned the ignition. Any chance this could
Be a bad alternator?

Soooo... I think I found it, both wires to the cranksensor were bare. I taped them up and all seems good for now! So far..... lol

Thanks for the advice guys!
