I just picked up '91 RRC. It is in great condition with minimal rust but sitting for 2yrs. Seafoamed motor, changed all fluids and replaced some of brake calipers (frozen) and rotors. Runs great up to 30mph then has no power. Read some threads then replaced cats, muffler and fuel filter. The same result no power. Read somemore threads and tested and discovered vaccum advance was bad. Plus there was no vaccum hose connected to it. My question is that there is no vaccum hose connection on top of plenum. I thought the vacuum hose went from vac adv to top of plenum? There is a small one (which is capped)over throttle body but dont think that is it. Also thinking of going with Pertonix distributor and coil rather than getting new vaccum advance. Thoughts?

Yes, I have been reading threads on the Pertronix and they all mention D&D. You said vacuum is on right side of plenum. Is it behind the trottle body part of plenum?
I have run a full tank of gas through engine. I found two vaccum ports on right side of plenum. Forward port has vaccum hose that goes to ball that is all the way forward by cruise control. The second port has vaccum hose going to charcoal canister. Where should vacuum advance hose go? Sorry if I am not using correct terminology.
I replaced vaccum advance and hooked up vaccum hose to plenum. Still running like a slug. Runs great up to 20-30mph but after that no real power. Not sure if there is another other vaccum leak some place. It runs great, no miss, no backfire, no hesitation just no power. It also seems to not down shift when you stomp on it and stays in the same gear.
Replaced fuel filter. Have not checked fuel pressure. It runs great up hill untill there is a load on engine and over 25mph.
