I have a 98 disco 1. A shop is telling me to rustproof the car they would inject noxudol into the frame and coat the undercarriage. Anyone used this product? Thanks.
I never met an English car that wasn't a rust magnet. Don't blame Ford. Rovers have a rich tradition of rusting to pieces. That's why you can buy entire chassis for them.Esp. the rear 1/4 of the D2 frame. I don't think D2 frames were treated with much of anything. Thanks Ford. Wankers, the lot'a yuh.
I have a 94 RRC that I had a shop use Waxoyl. But, they don't do the undercarriage anymore as they are not a body shop and it was too "toxic". The truck was a 25 year texan resident so maybe some surface rust. The shop said they will steam and clean then spray. I just want to be able to drive it in the snow and salt which I avoided last year.. the shop is APS in Fairfax. Can they steam clean it first or have it done beforehand?
Looks like the product is similar to Waxoyl.
LR had to buy out their frame supplier that was going bust sometime around 2001. D1 and RRC bodies rust to pieces but their frames are pretty resilient.I never met an English car that wasn't a rust magnet. Don't blame Ford. Rovers have a rich tradition of rusting to pieces.
