I need to pick up a set of o rings for the oil cooler hoses on my DI 95, For a front cover swap out this weekend. Do any of you have a standard Part number (that I can take down to the local auto parts place) for the 4 large ones and one small one.

Thanks.

Just take the rings to the parts store. They usually have assorted packs and will probably have what you need. I'm willing to bet they would have to order the "special land rover o-rings" even if you get a part number...

I would go a step further and buy the assorted kit...it has come in handy for me quite a few times, including those lines on my motor swap
:applause: I am noticing a trend

These are the one part ive actually purchased from my local LR dealer. however, the # escapes me. If you call them they can look em up. basically, you need 3 o-rings total. the top hose has one on the outside of the threads, the bottom has 2 o-rings, one the same as top (for outside the threads) and another smaller one that slides halfway down the connector.

Edit: my count of o-rings was based on the assumption you were only removing them engine-side. otherwise yeah, you need 5.

It only took them a minute to look it up, tho if i recall i paid $4 per ring. if the variety pack turns out to be cheaper and contain em, id say go that route as others have suggested.

Random side thought: if youre diagnosing a leak right at that area and the o-rings dont fix it, make sure to check the oil pressure sensor, mine sprung a leak thru the electrical connection.

I pulled the hoses really quick and grabbed the 2 different sizes old rings. All they had in the right sizes was the green ones, I'm thinking they are the Viton type. Theses will work right?

Heh RovinWI it's a bit of a leak, ya know where the pressure sensor screws in. It's sheared in half.

Well it looks like the rest of the parts will be here Friday. And I can start on getting the front cover swapped.

Oh one last thing. On checking the tolerances on the oil pump gears. In the book it states to check distance between gear teeth and it needs to be less than .25 mm is that measured where the 2 are meshed or 180 where it's un meshed?
