Does any one know the size and type of thread on the oil pressure switch for a 96 DI. I have looked at a few posts but did not find any hard concert answers. I'am installing an oil pressure gauge.

thanks

1/8" BPP, you'll need an adapter for most oil pressure gauges. IIRC, Autometer P/N 4369, available from Summit Racing for about $10 or $15. They are incorrectly referred to as a metric adapter.

If you go this route, you will lose the oil pressure switch, I suggest using a tee and a generic NAPA oil pressure switch to retain the warning light. A generic switch is available from NAPA for about $6.

Cheers,
PT

Yes I did I drilled the center out and installed a barbed fitting in there upside down it was a very tight fit and then brazed it in. And I have an extra pressure switch in the glove box.

I'm not sure a barbed fitting would have been the way I would have gone, but it's not my truck! The correct fitting is cheap insurance for me.
