I got here in 2006, so I doubt that makes me an old timer but I’ve seen some good stuff on here and actually met Kennith in person once!

Dan and his blunder-twin Devildog01 had quite the flaming bromance. He reserved his signature constant ball-busting for everyone else, but was probably in hopes of some make-up fondling.
Was he the one that went off on that pompous seersucker rant, or was it the Rolexes.. I do recall him tearing down nu-rovers as being useless mud-anchors for prissy rich white girls. hmm

Those guys split after it got all political and a whole thread got pulled down. I didn’t see what happened but that’s a pretty extreme reaction for this place.
But I was new around here and Dan started in on me. I was hooked after that. I never interacted with someone so wrong and so in your face and shitty about it. I said oh shit anything goes?

I happened upon that Members by Post Count and the "Staff members" list and it struck me how few still post. It got me wondering how many just lurk, still own LRs, wheel other brands instead, gave up off-roading, etc. I bet a good slice of the pie chart has moved to social media, but I personally don't see the appeal.
This is a funny forum, that's for sure. I got on shortly after I bought my 2000 D2, maybe in '02 or '03. It's been a great resource, and still is, but some of the flame wars and flame bait posts make it a less than inviting place.
