So I replaced the valve and the spring was done inside of it but still got the code afterwards so went to trace the wiring out and it looks like the ecu was changed at some point; I'm trying to find where the wires go because they were reading open when checking across them meaning they're not attached to the board or they're broken somewhere.

Send pics of the ECU wiring in question, could the valve be disconnected?

So you probably have the wrong computer in the car. I just got a disco with a bad ecm. I swapped one from one of my parts cars only to find this fault. After looking the one does not have the dmtl valve so there is no connection there, I saw a post at some point a long time ago about this but cant find it anymore now that i need it. I vaugley remember something about rewiring something but since i cant find the post i really dont know the outcome. So now im on the hunt for an ecm/bcm from a donor that did not have dmtl in it.
