That's a really good question.
The pinout, TTBMK for both ECUs is identical. The Rovacom-lite module for the RRC works on the P38.
I suspect it might be compatible, but test at your own risk!

somewhat, depending on what parts need swapped.
Your ECU will fit, and kind-of controll the p38, but the "eas fault: slow 35mph max" message will not clear from the dash, and the height won't be manually selectable.
The blocks are the same except for the mounting, so he can use the valves and solenoids, but not the actual block. the compressors are the same except for the mounts and the cylinder head-just the air inlet is different. the rubber bladders are the same but the lower pisont/top cap are different.
