I have a P38A with no heat. How can I tell if it is the blower motor or the actual heater control unit. I know those are know to be a problem, any help would be appreciated.

Yes the book with the sign is displayed. And I have nothing a lit screen, but when I put the blower up it lights up in the display, but nothing happens.

Take it to the dealer for code reading and then cry.

No easy fix for this system.

Did you check to see if the coolant is low?

Trust me, regardless of what the problem is, the guy who gets to fix it will be crying as well. While there may be some shortcuts, just abut anything to do with the HeVAC on a P38 is a PITA for the person fixing it AND for the person paying for it.

To be honest, I'm glad I haven't been able to sell a blend motor replacement in years. Replacing all three blend motors is almost as much fun as bashing your thumb with a hammer-almost!

PT. I agree with you.. the only thing I love to replace is the "o" ring seals for the heater core... easy and lots of hrs even under warranty.

The first time I decided to pressure test an O-ring replacement, you guessed it! It took forever to get a pair of O-rings that wouldn't leak.

It's still no fun for me, the position is uncomfortable under the best of circumstances.
