I can assure you, I am not using ANY tactics other than the occasional thread lol. I appreciate all my customers, but it does seem as though wherever my name gets mentioned people start getting offensive/ defensive and/ or butt hurt etc. It is odd though that there is so much controversy surrounding me. I've only sold good parts to people, never screwed anyone and always stand behind my parts....go figure.

Hey man,

I was referring to your PR and Marketing Director who started this thread.

I bet you are a great guy and have no doubt you want to make an honest living.

But his tactics are a bit hostile and at the end this is Dweb. :). It's though love.

Seriously, how does Lincoln manage to attract so many mentally unstable people to come to his defense?

WOW.
I wander from discoweb for a few months and some new guy named Lincoln shows up and now this tool talking shit to "their" prospective customers. I don't even need the full story on who the fuck either of these guys are.
I'll sure as hell not buy from either of them, regardless of price, or quality of parts or service.

It's funny people have issues with Lincoln. I wish i would have done more research before purchasing from him. it's been over three weeks and I never recieved my parts. He sent them to a old address from PayPal. Even though I provided him the correct one in a email before I even paid him. He told me his email must have been full. But in the same email I asked for his PayPal and he sent that over right away Now the parts are who knows where and I am out $70. So we play the waiting game and see if they get returned to him and if they do I'm sure he will pay me back but I missed out on taking family members out when they visited because of inability to read a email. I sent a message last week and never got a response lets see if this post will get one ;)

Unfortunately, you are still partially at blame for the shipping mistake. One of the features of paypal is that it allows you to print packing slips and shipping lables directly from the site. If you do not update the shipping details, then it will go to the address as provided by/to paypal. If someone does a lot of sales and receive payments this way, it only makes sense to also do the shipping through them. If you want it shipped to a different address; it is possible for you to list different addresses with paypal or if the address is an old one; then you need to change it. Even a note to the seller attached to the paypal payment would have most likely worked. A seperate email from the payment is just more to worry with if you are handeling multiple transactions.

As I said you are partially to blame even though you sent instructions in a different email.

Thats not the seller but I agree with him - make sure your paypal shipping address is correct and shit will get sent to you. It's not a hard thing to do

I disagree. Selling parts online is generally understood as a two-part transaction: 1) Seller gets money from buyer, 2) buyer gets parts from seller.

It's not a situation where the buyer agress to send money and seller agrees to send parts.

Here's another way to look at it...would the seller have sent the parts before he actually had the money? I highly doubt it. The onus is therefore on the seller to assure the buyer's satisfactory receipt of the parts.

If you use paypal; shipping instructions are automatically sent with the payment. It is up to the person making the purchase to make sure the shipping instructions are correct with the payment being sent. It sounds like the the guy that made the purchase sent an email with an address and questions and followed up later with the paypal payment which included different shipping instructions from the previous one. So who is wrong? Do you ship to the address provided with the payment or one provided earlier?

So basically it is a contract where payment is sent by paypal; along with the payment are instructions from paypal on where to send the item. There is also an option for the buyer to change the ship to address and to attach a noet to the seller.

Also if the seller ships to an address other than the one that is indicated on the payment and there is ever a dispute; it could easily be declared in favor of the buyer.

I have never ordered from Lincoln but hate to see anyone bashed for a reason that is not entirely theirs alone.

There is a step you are missing here. Scammers. Paypal has protections in place that they only honor if you ship to the address on the payment. If you wanted to you could buy something and pay with paypal, call the seller and say "crap thats my old address send it to this one". Then you wait a week and file a complaint with paypal saying it didn't arrive to the address you provided in the payment. Paypal takes the money out of the sellers account and asks him to provide tracking, when the tracking doesn't match the address in the payment paypal refunds the buyer his money. That happens and when it does it sucks alot. That said I will always update the address unless I feel like the buyer is trying to pull a fast one. Oh, and the original poster is a moron.

In the amount of time jdcline78 spent posting here, he could have fixed his Paypal address and avoided the whole mess.
That said, I use the GIFT PayPal option most of the time. No shipping info is included with a Gift. I decide whether I have the part shipped to my house or work, then include that info and a description of the item I bought in the Comments section.

OK, I didn't think of that.

And I agree that you should go through the trouble of having very clear & correct shipping instructions on paypal.

And I agree that the original poster is a fucking moron.

Blue is right too, when the guy asked the seller exactly where he should send the money, he told the seller exactly where to send the parts.

Now you have another reason not to buy from LT, once he gets your money he doesn't care where he sends your parts.

You are right that I should have had my address changed. But at that point I knew I hadn't and I just wanted to get the transaction done quickly LESSON LEARNED however it doesn't change the fact that I have still not heard from him. This is not how you do business. I actually didn't want to post this because I try to give the him benefit maybe something happend but at this point it is a joke. I asked a coupe days ago for the tracking number agin so I could see when the items are returned to him and I got nothing. I feel I will probably not get my money at this point (though i will dispute with paypal) so I'll just say it DON'T BUY FROM LINCOLN!

I try to make sure the ship to address I use in Paypal is the one I want the items sent to. I rarely have parts sent to my home as there is never anyone around to sign for them. They can go to my work, the shop or to a US address if the seller won't ship to Canada. I usually follow up with a note in the notes section to reinforce where I want the parts to go. Heck, I've even had Will send them to a hotel I was going to be at for pickup!
