I have had and used one of these for years now. Works great.

Check Pep Boys if you got one close by. They sell the same one.

Those are decent, but replace the connectors on both the electric motor and the air hose (the hose while you're at it). They are junk. I beat the hell out of mine and used it for work all the time until it died last year. Not sure what happened.

If you want one of the best options go with Extreme Outback. They are pricey as hell, but they come in a nice tool box and are 100% duty cycle. They connect with heavy jumper cables.

What Garrett said.
On the air hose: your better bet is to ream and tap the cylinder head for a 1/8" NPT, or, if it is too close, 1/4". Mount a chuck with a right-angle adapter, so it doesn't stick out too far to the side.
Replace the entire air hose with a good-quality one, chucks and all.

I've had the same pump for several years, bought at Costco, and it has yet to fail me.

Off Road Warehouse has a big brother of the same compressor, sold at $159. This is one serious mofo:

I've got the MV-50 as well. I only use it for airing up tires. It does a pretty good job considering how cheap it was. I broke the connectors on the motor on my second use but haven't had a problem since replacing them.
